Gippsland — Wilsons Promontory & the coast

Full day · ~12 hours

A wilderness-coast day to Victoria's southern tip. We drive you down to Wilsons Promontory National Park — Tidal River, the white-quartz sand of Squeaky Beach, and the Mount Oberon or Pillar Point views — through the green dairy country and tree-fern gullies of South Gippsland. Big nature, few crowds, and you in the back the whole way.

Common questions

Good to know.

Is there food at Wilsons Prom?
Only a small general store at Tidal River, often busy. We strongly recommend bringing lunch and water — we'll remind you at booking and stop for supplies on the way down.
How hard is Mount Oberon?
It's a steady ~7 km return climb on a management track — doable for most reasonable fitness, around 2 hours. Not keen? Pillar Point and the beaches give you the views with far less effort.
